Overview： A vigilante group,what we would call vigilantes today. The year is 1863,near the end of the Edo period. The Edo Shogunate has conscripted them,and they are heading to Kyoto in droves. They are a group of approximately 200 ronin. They are the Shinsengumi. Their commander is Kondo Isami. The protagonist of this story,Hijikata Ozo,is his vice-commander. This militarized group was responsible for maintaining order in Kyoto during the tumultuous end of the Edo period. Their main role was to crack down on the pro-imperial,anti-foreign faction and unruly ronin. Due to the chaotic times,many books have been published about the inner workings of the Shinsengumi at the time,but many details remain unexplained. It could be said to be a dark,unknown part of history. Consequently,much of Hijikata's character is shrouded in mystery. This work sheds light on one of those darker aspects of Hijikata. Hijikata had an uncontrollable sexual appetite. Perhaps one reason for this is the fleeting days when no one knows what tomorrow holds. Or perhaps Hijikata's male instinct was to leave offspring. He devoted himself to "impregnating" women. He ravaged them like crazy. This film vividly depicts those intense and crazy days in detail,realistically,and with greater specificity.
